St. Stephen's Art Show Announces Free Entrance & Community Main Stage

Today under the Oak Grove, The St. Stephen's Art Show announced the commitment to FREE entrance of the Art Show & MakersFest, February 18 to 22, 2023, with a grand gesture: FREE entrance is underwritten by the weekly artisanal and farmers market fundraisers help on the front lawn of St. Stephens Church, center Grove.

"Our parish gave us resounding approval to sponsor the $3 door fee with our weekly artisanal market series fundraisers, voluntary donations at the show welcome of course! said Pastor Willie Allen Faiella. Despite our own struggles as a not-for-profit rebuilding from quarantine and shit diens, we are proud to pay it forward. Anytime the community can gather, outdoors and support local artisans who were hit even harder it is important."

The one-day Artist Showcase with Farmers Market Launch Day Sunday, February 14th - 10 AM to 6 PM
In lieu of Grove arts weekend and the art shows, patrons showed their love for local artists and perused fresh farmers wares in a vastly spread out, open air and capped showcase. All maintained social distance, followed an in and out pathway and masks were required.

Show organizers deal with changing times, venue

St. Stephen's Art Show in Coconut Grove, Florida, got its start 30 years ago, when volunteer parishioners of the St. Stephens Episcopal Church began selling hot dogs and sodas to the patrons of the already well-established Coconut Grove Arts Festival. "They were approached by artists who asked if they could have space on the grounds as well," said Daisy Holcombe, director of the St. Stephen's Art Show.

Overview:

- President's Day Weekend, 9:30 AM - 6 PM

- Celebrating 31 year anniversary as acclaimed art show, next door to Grove Arts Festival.
Started as a hotdog stand to raise money for the church outreach.

- Show charges a $3 admission to adults and children 12 and under are free.

- 160 artists, 42 states represented, 2 countries


• Show Winners

- Judging across St. Stephens Art Show will determine $10,000 in awards to the artist in each medium and the top prize of Best in Show.

• ALL WELCOME Blessing of the Art Mass

- Sunday Morning 8:30 AM

- A dedicated mass for all the artists, visitors and guests grove wide to bring their art to the altar or visit St. Stephens Episcopal Church for an Artistic specific mass celebrating creation.
